What this template is for
Use it when an invoice needs a human note: a first invoice to a new customer, a large amount, a bill that goes to a finance team rather than the person you worked with, or a reminder that stays polite.
The letter says what the invoice is for and makes paying easy. It goes with your invoice. It does not replace it.

Questions
Is this a tax invoice?
No. It is a covering letter. In India a GST tax invoice must carry set details such as your GSTIN. In the US, keep your invoice in line with your accounting records. Attach your real invoice to this letter.
What should I write when an invoice is late?
Use the same letter, add a line saying the due date has passed, and ask when payment will be made. Keep it polite. A late payment is often a missing approval.
Should I put bank details in the letter?
Yes, or a payment link, so the reader does not have to search the invoice. Make sure they match the invoice exactly.
Use it in Supernatural
Supernatural: everything your business runs on, with Blue as your part-time admin. Word is one of its apps. In your workspace, you ask Blue for “a letter to go with an invoice”. Blue starts from this template, writes in what you give it, and leaves [brackets] where something is missing. Before it makes the document, Blue shows you which template it chose and what it will write. Nothing is made until you say yes.
